Visit with Grandma and Grandpa Buckley and Mandy

Kenzie found a giant mirror
Grandma Buckley, Grandpa Buckley and Aunt Mandy came for a visit.  We went to the Pacific Science center!  The kids found a wall where they could disappear.

Mandy found it too!!

Kenzie decided she wanted to be a butterly

Jaron did too - cute - aren't they :)
Grandpa and Jack found a super sized checkers board.  They played a couple of games

Mandy and  Kenzie found a board that was 3D tick tack toe.  It was pretty fun.

We  went to visit the troll under the Aurora Bridge.  He is pretty scary (and dirty).  It was cool, gross, and disturbing all at the same time.  There was even some homeless people sleeping behind it - we gave Mom and Dad the full experience.

Just for you who don't know - the troll was created as a community project.  They put out a competition for ideas for the space, and this is what one.  It was built in the 90's.  Under his hand that Jack is standing on is an actual VW Bug.

Kenzie went to say hello and realized he had some paint on his nose

Oh No - Jack is Stuck!

They all went to save him...all stuck!

She has found her inner peace - under the bridge

We went to Golden Gardens Park.  The water is the Puget Sound.  We were able to fly kites and found seashells.  It was also really cool to see all the boats and freighters.  Turned out to be a beautiful day!

Grandma and Grandpa paid for fish (or chicken) on Alki Beach

Memorial Day Camping - Deception Pass

We took our annual camping trip to Deception Pass over Memorial Weekend.  It was a beautiful weekend.  We managed to have amazing weather.  Only a little rain over night.  It was Mosley's first trip camping with us.  He did pretty well.  Once he realized our site was his domain, he started "defending" it like he does our house - barking at everyone who walked past.  We all loved the sand and the beach.  It was so much fun!!

Last of the birthday season - Jack turns 9!!!

Our Jack has turned 9! For his birthday this year he wanted to take his friends to go play Laser Tag.  I don't have any pictures of all of them with their score cards - bad move Mom!!  This was the only shot I have with some of his friends.  Friends that came were Isaac, Owen, Jaeger and Ella.  Paul took them down and they played Laser Tag and had a great time.  After they came back to our house.  Jack wanted to have birthday donuts - again.  He is so crazy. We did take an actual cake with us to have on his birthday while we were camping.

Grandma Sampson made Jaron and Jack a birthday donut - it's a cake shaped like a donut.  Super cool!  They loved it.
