Pumpkin Patch 2012

So breaking with tradition we decided to try a new pumpkin patch this year.  Mainly in hopes that the pumpkin's would cost less, but also for the experience.  Boy...did we have an experience.

The pumpkin patch we went to was at a property with tons of old equipment including old cars.  The pumpkins were obviously not raised at this location, but were laid out very nicely.   First thing we noticed were all of the animals that roamed the property - goats, pigs, chickens, turkeys,  peacocks, and kids.  Here are the kids looking at the pigs, and trying to get close to the goat.

Kenzie decided to chase the chickens around

...then we went to find the pumpkins.

Jaron wanted to pull the wagon all by himself....it didn't work out very well.

When we went to go buy our pumpkins - there were big UGLY turkeys.  Maybe we should go back to pick for Thanksgiving.  Jack was the brave one that took the cart past the turkeys.

Inside the shop we found Cruella Da'Ville...oh wait...it was just another chicken.  Maybe this one had too much Dr. Pepper :)

They had a nice picture area set up, so we took advantage

A great adventure.   By the way - pumpkins were MORE expensive...oh well!
